This is an introduction to our outreach programs
The mission of the church is supervised by our Mission Committee, which
advocates for and distributes about 10% of the church's overall budget, or a
tithe. We are currently blessed to have leadership from the Open Door
Medical Group, the Ossining Food Pantry, and IFCA, the Interfaith Council
for Action represented in our Mission Committee's membership. We also have
the chair of the Nicaragua Initiative of the Presbytery of Hudson River and
several other more grass roots members on the committee. Thus the links you
may see elsewhere to these organizations are not arbitrary: we support these
organizations of health, food and housing with people and funds.
In addition to these local concerns, our church contributes each year to the General Mission of our denomination, with other amounts going to the Peacemaking program and the One Great Hour of
Sharing.
